Sarah Brightman - Gothica/Fleurs Du Mal (Dallas TX 11-12-08)

Opener of Sarah's set. My first introduction to her. I saw her Symphony cd cover when I bought the new Metallica and it intrigued me. I went to her myspace and read up on her and listened to some of her songs The beauty of them were incredible and then bought tickets. Usually a metal guy but her voice is beautiful.

Who's to say what is better? I listen to all types of rock/metal music...Hard, gothic, metal, death metal, symphonic metal, industrial rock, progressive rock, black metal, thrash, power metal, avant-garde. I listen to plenty of gothic type rock...Tristania, Lacuna Coil, Paradise Lost, Theatre of Tragedy, Within Temptation, The Gaathering, Liv Kristine and began with Evanescence in 2001 then branched out to the gold in European music.

wrong...the symphonic/power metal movement started with Therion in the late 80's....then bands like Within Temptation, Tristania, and Nightwish started appearing...Evanescence didnt appear till later and poor job of imitating these bands (in my opinion) and taking credit for it...

Oh, I'm well aware of this. Believe me, I didn't mean Evanescenece started it. Farrrrrr from the truth. I meant that's when I started listening to them. I started listening to Paradise Lost in the early 90's, then Nightwish, then Tristania, and so on. That would've just been an ignorant comment if that's what I had meant, I'm very educated on the metal genre.

Seriously! People love to argue about stupid crap all the time. Every Country has its own culture and the way of treating an artist is part of it, I particularly LOVE! the way the Mexican crowd reacted to her entrance Many of them were brand new fans Pasion was played as the main song of the biggest TV show, I went to the concert held in Dallas, the Audience was not as Euphoric, but still they were as respectful and and loving towards her. Arguing about who was the best crowd is simply pointless

Dude seriously, give up the ghost. Her concerts in Mexico were horrid, you couldn't hear her at all for all the screaming. Mexicans are not polite when it comes to live venues because it's so rare that someone of Sarah's international status actually is brave enough to tour in Mexico.
