Colin is amazing on a different level, bass? Yep. Lead guitar? Yep. Rhythm guitar? Yep. Percussion? Yep that too. Vocals? Yeah got that. All played one one instrument at the same time? Yep, and done like it's no thing. Just a different class.

it's the beat! dear friends! he is doing the most crazy things, and he keeps the beat! :D I love his bass playing, but the singing is also GREAT! he sounds almost insane, which harmonizes well with his unique super bass playing!

In 73 I thought I was CH. The clearest and most ambitious use of the bass ever thought of. He's just Great.

I've loved this guy since the first Back Door album - simply amazing. Some of the early Back Door stuff has now found its way onto CD. I'd strongly recommend you check it out.

In my opinion,along with James Jamerson, this guy has done more to advance bass than anyone else.His style is unique and groundbreaking, even now,with white hair and knocking on 70(sorry Colin), he is unbelievable.
To anyone who thinks that to sit at home and play bass is boring, think again. He has not only opened the door, but kicked it down, many years ago.Only problem is that not many people try and go through it.He should be knighted for services to music.Stunning every time I`ve seen him.
