The US Navy's 127-metre Austal-designed and built Littoral Combat Ship, LCS 2 "Independence". The vessel, which was built at Austal's Mobile, Alabama facilities, utilises Austal's advanced trimaran hullform offering superior seakeeping and less resistance. the vessel is capable of speeds greater than 45 knots.

The LCS-1 goes 47 knots (54 mph; 87 km/h) and the LCS-2 went 44 knots (51 mph; 81 km/h)

LCS-2 has much smaller wake tha LCS-1...guess that means its faster. And that's important!
