Collecting Abyssal Charms in the Abyss

I recorded this footage quite a while before I uploaded.
The exact date of recording is May 1st 2011.
So there are most likely better ways of going about this.

I'm a person that always tried to do things without using potions.
As you know it would be easier to just take a prayer potion into the Abyss instead of recharging your prayer with the ancient mace.
It would also be easier to take an overload, an extreme set or a super set instead of the dragon battleaxe special.


ABYSSAL WALKER'S WEAKNESS:

Magic & Crush


EQUIPMENT:

- Warrior helm: attack bonus is important for the ancient mace's special attack
- Melee armour: use the best armour you have
- Zamorakian Spear: for crush attack
- Amulet of Glory: easy Edgeville teleport
- Ancient Mace: since your prayer get's drained when you enter the Abyss, the special attack will normally give you enough prayer to flash.
- Dragon Battleaxe: cheap strength boost
- Steel titan pouch: the Abyss is a multi combat area, so you can attack with your steel titan.


METHOD:

From the Edgeville bank I take the long route to the Abyss because it is safer.
Since you'll be bringing expensive gear you need to watch out for RC PK'ers.
When you enter the Abyss, your prayer will be drained so you need to use the ancient mace.
It's advised to use it on an abyssal leech, since they're the lowest level.

Usually it'll hit and that'll give you enough prayer to start flashing your prayers since you don't lose any prayer points that way.
That's why I use a warrior helm, to increase the chance that I'll hit.
I always flash my quick prayers, which are set to soul split and turmoil.
This allows me to heal up and do extra damage at the same time.
If you weren't able to hit the abyssal leech with your ancient mace special, then you need to be very careful and try again when your special bar is full again.
When your special attack bar is full and you have some prayer points, you can use the special attack of the dragon battleaxe for a boost in strength.

Since it's a multi combat area, I use a steel titan to increase the damage.
The strongest attack of the steel titan is his ranged attack so you have to make sure that he attacks with that as much as possible.
You can make the steel titan attack a monster with ranged if the steel titan isn't close to the monster.
But sometimes the steel titan will walk to the monster, so it's advised that you stand between the steel titan and the monster it attacks.

While I'm killing the walkers I like to pick up noted pure essence, green/crimson/blue charms, clue scrolls and the more expensive talismans.
This makes for a nice extra.
When I'm done I just teleport to Edgeville, bank and go on another trip.
