It is the same game, same story, but both games feel different.

Many people dislike the Wii version
Many people dislike the Gamecube version.
I like both but my favorite one is the Wii version and I have my reasons (good reasons).
here are the differences according to the video:

1. The Wii version is mirrored, well yeah, I think It's the first thing you notice, in my opinion there was no need to do that, so this point goes to the Gamecube version.

2.Just like the gamecube version, the Wii version can be played in a standar 4:3 screen but it also can be played in a 16:9 beautiful widescreen. Wii wins this point.

3.the Wii remote (wii controller) has a pointer that is shown in the screen as a fairy, and It's very useful in the game, to use a weapon you just point and Shoot It's easy, It's nice and it feels good, some people said they don't like it, I don't know why O.o, but you can turn the pointer off in the options screen and play just like in the gamecube version (with no fairy). Wii wins this point.

4. In the Wii version Link can point with a weapon and walk at the same time, you can move and dodge attacks while aiming and shooting too, It's a very cool feature, impossible for the gamecube controller. Wii wins this point.

5.in Wii, some Skills like the Shield attack or Spin attack are performed with motion sensor, It's hard to explain in a video, but It's fun to do those attacks only by moving the nunckuch and It's fun to slash only Swinging the Wiimote, and nope, it doesn't get you tired. Wii wins the point.

6. In gamecube you can hold only 2 Items (Y and X buttons), in Wii you can carry 4 (left, right & down in PAD, and "B")the menus are easier too (like the maps). Wii wins the point

7.Well, there's nothing to say about this point, Fishing in Wii is a unique experience, it might be fun in gamecube, but compared to the Wii version well, not even close. Wii wins this point

8. The gamecube version features a free camara mode, similar to the Windwaker one, just not that good. GC wins this point.

9. Wii version uses 1 block, Gamecube version uses 4.... umm this won't count as a point.

Wii - 6
gamecube - 2.

you may like the one you want, I like both, but for me, the Wii version offers a better experience (like it or not) and with this video I made my points.

  • The widescreen in the Wii version only cuts off the upper and lower parts of the screen, making the vision more limited than in the Gamecube version.

  • Gamecube Version only uses TWO items?

I guess that's a good reason why I got the Wii version.

  • free camera mode rules!

  • Wait, in the Wii version, you can hold 4 items at a time, but in the GameCube version, you can only hold 2? What the heck!

  • @arup02 Well, the game is mirrored in the Wii version due to the fact that many players are right handed. But Link is left handed and holds the sword in his left hand.

  • Haha! You have Tales of Symphonia! You are officially cool in my book.

  • I prefer gamecube due to the more ocarina of time feel to the game

  • Always loved GameCube <3

In the Wii version you have Navi..

I's like a bug flying around you head o.O

But I'm not a hater! Just saying it ^^

  • Comon people give some ode to the cube!

  • @linkmuji <--- Best comment. There's no better or worst, its a infinity argument.

  • @demoniclord91367 no, its awesome and very useful. lame is that you cannot do that in the wii. ( yet the wii is better )
