The only Solo Single Class Challenge MoogleBoss has ever taken!

The rules are rather simple.
1) Only Marche may be used.
2) Once Marche gains access to the Blue Mage job, he may not change classes and the only abilities at his disposal are those unique to a Blue Mage.
3) the challenge starts at The Cheetahs.
4) No Totema.
...uh, that's it? I think so.

I'm not going to record every single storyline mission, but the most interesting ones WILL be recorded. All the main bosses, too.

The battle against Famfrit is impossible without entering the mission on a day when Fight is banned. If Fight is allowed, you will be gangbanged in about two turns by the Ahrimen, regardless of Damage - MP.

Ok, Fight is banned. Now Ahrimen just walk around casually, and the only thing coming from that can hurt you is Roulette, the instant death skill. They can also confuse or blind you, but neither is too bad.

With Fight banned, you have to either Combo the boss or hit him with a Blue Magic spell. Fortunately, when Fight is banned, Color Magic is welcome, i.e. you get a Judge Point for using any Blue Magic spell!

This means you should begin by comboing Famfrit, then hoping he doesn't rid you of your precious MP before you get 10, which is the amount necessary to use a Poison Claw, earning a JP, to combo again, and so on and so forth.

Some may ask, wouldn't it be quicker without Damage - MP? I thought so, and kept getting owned by Breath of God. Better do it slowly but safely.

Next video: the epic battle against Adrammelech!

  • @MoogleBoss thnx very much for this much aid!!! Can you just mention such weapons which might teach those skills!!

  • ahhh thanks a lot for this info! and for the quick replies! I'll try it out

  • Ability points. You get a fixed amount after winning a battle. Each ability has its own number of AP needed for it to be learnt.

Beastmasters control beasts. Once you've gained control over one, you'll be able to select his next action when his turn comes. With skills that the enemy won't ever use against you (White Wind, Mighty Guard et al), you'll need a Beastmaster to force him to do it.

  • AP? sorry whats that?

and what do the beastmasters do in this process?

  • Equip a Blue Saber on your Blue Mage. Go to the abilities menu and select the passive ability Learning. You can now learn enemy skills used on your Blue Mage. Once you get all the AP needed to learn Learning, you can learn enemy skills as a different class.

  • hey I just started this game and I have a clan member who's a blue mage. I don't know what to do with him. Are you saying I need to equip him with a blue saber to get the learning ability? I'm really confused sorry!
