@mlgkadir because he knew his opponent was going for creatures, and he had slagstorm in hand. turn 3 with 4 mana (due to rampant growth) he slagstormed then put the birds down, leaving him a turn 4 titan.

im pretty sure Iyanaga plays that slow on purpose to make his opponent get anxious. it really does work.

every player that kicks my ass at magic takes 30 minutes to take their turn

@SSxSnazySnipers becuz your not cool if you can't do that
-
why didn't iyanaga play birds on turn 1..
-
@SSxSnazySnipers Probably either a ritual to do while they're thinking, and/or to hide any clues that they might be favoring/waiting on a particular card. To hide if they have a strong/weak hand and which card might be strong.

why are threy always shuffling there hands?

@TheMasterJoelantino ic..no wonder it make me confuse because they didn't show it -.- ..

@stupidtmnet Iyanaga played Galvanic Blast not Shock and Conley only had Etched Champion and Spellskite and Spellskite died because although they didn't show it they announced he slagstormed putting the Spellskite down to a 0/1 until the end of the turn.

@deathnotealex But Slagstorm says "Slagstorm deals 3 damage to each creature; Slagstorm deals 3 damage to each player". Since "Slagstorm" is dealing damage anything with protection from Red will not die since Slagstorm which is a red source is dealing damage. With Day of Judgement/Damnation it's not dealing damage, it's destroying. So something with protection from white will still die to Day of Judgement.
Iyanaga is a VERY deliberate player. I think that's why he's so good, though. People have their rituals, and he's no different. It takes some real guts for him to take his time despite everyone else giving him crap for it!
