In the weekly Republican address, House Speaker John Boehner urges Democrats to work with Republicans in Congress on spending cuts and tax reforms. He says, "Hope springs eternal." (Dec. 22)

They regained their majority in the House in Nov. '10. That was before the gerrymandered districts starting in '11 or '12. I'm glad they have the House. When one party (either one) controls the House, Senate, & Presidency it scares me. George Washington was right when he said there should NOT be political parties. Nothing gets done, they just keep fighting for power. & I'll tell ya, I miss Reagan. He was a great Republican!!

All of you who are bashing Speaker Boehner need to realize that he & the rest of the GOP are NOT stupid or evil, etc. If they were, they wouldn't have a majority in the House. & those of you who say you're tired of the Speaker complaining... I hope you realize YOU are complaining!! Also, in '10, everyone said Obama & the Dem.s were evil. Well, you re elected Obama just as you re elected Boehner.

Saying the GOP got re elected, is not defending them. Not everyone in Congress is a Dem or GOP, there are 2 Independents. I defend Speaker Boehner, b/c I respect him. It obviously takes a lot of time & $ to get to where he is whether I like him or not. & I have thumbs up on my comments b/c I'm saying a lot. I speak the truth. You are a troll who likes to argue. Yes, there is freedom of speech. However, the complainers in this vid's comments are all trolls. If you don't like him, don't watch.

You did defend the GOP, using the fact that they were reelected as proof that they weren't doing a bad job.. All of them are, Dem and GOP, but the GOP are definitely doing a worse job. Before you start bashing me, realize I never said the GOP didn't ever do any harm. Realize I never said higher taxes is a bad thing. Realize I never said war is a good thing. Realize you're another one complaining about the Speaker "complaining". I also never said I cared for Speaker Boehner. I was hoping too that the GOP would vote him out at the beginning of the 113th Congress and get another person to fill the job.

Just because they were elected and reelected does not mean they have not done harm to our country and the world. Obama's spending to get out of this recession, like every administration has done during bad economic times, raises the debt. U know what else raises the debt? cutting taxes, two wars at the same time, corporate welfare, tax-evasion... you might wanna rub those eyes you still look groggy from being asleep this whole time. The speaker complains with nonsense. His goal is to be a thorn.
