This is the LegUp System recently adapted to the GL1800 from Honda. This is a computer controlled stabilization system that helps folks with bad legs or trouble balancing the GL1800 as it comes to a stop! Check out how the wheels come down and go back up from stopping to acceleration!!

  • They are locked down when the system is off & the bike parked. If on level ground the bike will remain upright indefinitely. The legs will NOT lift the bike, but pushing it around with the wheels down is MUCH easier because no real effort is expended balancing the bike in Reverse or when pushed.

  • COP Turns?!?! You're kidding right?

Okay - so exactly how much does your system REDUCE the lean angle of the wing?

  • Actually when the wheels are down, you can lean about 60% of normal lean angle, but when you are running and the wheels are up, you get 100% of your lean angle. They don't get in the way at all! Thanks for asking!

  • Look maw, no feet!! Training wheels, or lazy wheels? How sissy can someone get?

People may point and laugh, but it works fine.

All joking aside, it's a great invention for those big heavy bikes. For many years I've had some inclination towards inventing something like that for new riders. Well, I guess now I don't have to. Now all you have to do is make it for other makes and models.

Good luck...make sure to patent it.

  • Thanks... you can be sure it is patented...

  • I was gonna go with a Trike as I have a bad leg (because of an unwanted interaction with a Cage) but now I might have an alternative! Hmmm Do the conversions come in kit form? Do you have an Australian franchisee? I'm temp in Aus.

  • OMG! Training wheels for Cycles! Holy Crap!

  • Pete, can these be mechanically locked down for parking - just so accidental activation or failure of the computer unit doesn't drop the bike ?

Also, how about handling when stationary ? Can these actually lift the bike for a 360 degree rotation, or would you need to use some sort of a centre-stand turntable ?

  • Actually the wheels work very well in soft stuff... If it is 3" deep, it really won't help, but on grass and soft sand it helps a bunch! Thanks!
