  • How accurate is your 1851 and with which style projectile? The ball or conical bullet?

  • @ChiefPhoenix

    Hi,

The accurate is good enough at 25 - 30 meters, that is the far i usually use.

Howewhere, i can still shot a soda box at around 50 meters with any problem.

i use round 375 bullets, i often used conical projectile, but i prefer round bullet.

    Best regards.

  • Is that black powder or a substitute? also does fanning hurt the internals of the revolver at all? I've heard it upsets the timing. I think you are excellent. You have encouraged me to buy a Uberti 1851 London Colt and I'm going to have an action job and get to it. Have you tried the Spiller and Burr? it looks very interesting too.

  • @taylorman1949

i'm verry happy to know you arealready to buy the navy model from Uberti. That a nice choice.

I tried once the Spiller and Burr. This revolver is interrsting too, but it was not a nice build, and sometimes it doesn't works as well i wanted. But, but, but, this model is nice, it might...

  • ya forgot to give the rebel yell

  • в молоко ))))

  • @taylorman1949 The timing of a revolver is not affect by how the hammer is operated. A cylinder locks up just before a hammer is pulled all the way back. The only way the timing would suffer is if someone short stroked the hammer, pulling it only halfway back. But in this case the revolver might not fire unless the cylinder continues rotating into position because the cap would not be in position to be struck.

  • my grandpa gave me a uberti 44 cal 1851 for free, cause it was missing a main spring, but to bad one only cost 4 dollars XD , not to mention im 15.

  • that holster is noisy, almost annoyingly so.

  • What type of Brand and model of holster is that?
