Heading west along Tile Hill Lane towards the junction of Templar Ave and Jobs Lane is one of coventry's yellow fire engines. Look carefully at the end of the shot at the car over taking.

    Many thanks for the vid. I remember those yellow engines very well. As I remember, the Home Offoce stopped Coventry using that colour :(

  • brilliant , have you anymore footage ? there is a land rover dvd out , and has a coventry city fire brigade demonstration on it !

  • Smart but Newcastle and Gateshead Joint Fire Brigade were smarter in chocolate and maroon during that era

  • The street lamps of that time were orange coloured and red objects looked black in them. The yellow fire engines looked lighter and stood out more at night.
