Ultimate Penn State Riot 2008 Video (with game clip)

During a trip to visit my sister at PSU, the nittany lions beat Ohio State in the big game, & PSU students rushed downtown to celebrate the victory. Soon cops arrived and started spraying the participants and the bystanders alike with mace. I was able to create this video using footage from my sister's camera, news footage, and some anonymous clips.

I know. It was simply a party before the Police showed up with mace! Now some of the cops were decent but there was one who actually took a football and stabbed it! If that isn't trying to stir up a crowd (who was just celebrating the game victory) I don't know what is.

or compared to the Penn State riot in the 90's when they flipped a bus and other cars. This one we only tore down a few light poles and signs, though the crowds were thick a mile long down beaver ave.

I totally agree. It was a bad situation and I'm sure their were ppl there with good intentions such as yourself. Good Ppl got caught up with the bad ppl. Idiots made it bad for everybody. I can without a doubt tell you that after things started getting damaged was when the police started moving everybody. Comands were given to groups 3 times then if they did not move they got sprayed. We can both agree that the idiots were damaging things showing off. Remove the crowd, no one to show off to.

I acknowledge that there were kids behaving badly, I am just saying that there were cops behaving badly as well, some of the other riot videos show a cop spraying a kid on the sidewalk in the face (& another cop running over to stop him.) The other thing is that groups like my sister and I were told to "turn around and move" but behind us was another cop saying the same thing! (we were on the sidewalk) We were in trouble either way we went! That is when I got mad. There was no way to obey...

Do you honestly think in this day and age of video recording the police would risk their jobs over some drunk stupid kids? everyone who was sprayed was told to leave. If they didn't they got sprayed. With ALL due respect, and I mean that. I'm not being a smart ass. You really don't have all your facts straight. I was there too. The cop was hit 3 times with the ball, one rock, 4bottles and a beer can. All trying to protect property.
