KTO030, are you refering to Australian S70A Blackhawks, if so there has only been 3 recorded fatal crashes involving Blackhawks, Townsville, Oakey and Fiji. All three crashes were caused by aircrew error, and hey it happens, same as a car accident. There has never been a Blackhawk crash in WA. Blackhawks are the most robust military utility helicopter of the last couple of decades, (even more so than the iroquois), and are maintained to an excellent standard.

Im sorry that you felt it necessary to say I have no clue. I'm not really into arguements with people I dont know. I do know 'stuff' about Black Hawks, having lost someone very close to me in a black hawke crash in Western australia a few years back. They seem to be prone to crashing. I have no malice towards you or what you have said, but I do wish you did not jump to conclusion by what I have said. I have a clue, and you seem to have an opinion.

i really hope ur kidding... if you would have seen this helicopter you wouldnt be saying this! Black Hawks dont crash all the time they are built to the best of there abbility. maybe you should reconsider and just not post something u have no clue about

my dads best friend who was a second dad to me died in this crash. the day this happened my dad was suppose to be the main pilot flying but was replaced by another pilot. every man and woman in that unit i consider a part of my family and to loose any of them hurts to even think about. The men and Woman of our armed forces dont do this because they feel obligated to. Charlie died doing what he loved and lived his life to the fullest i hope everyone can look at this and say hes a true hero. RIP

Black Hawks crash all the time. They need to build better choppers and ditch the old black hawk

My brother was in this crash. He was one his way to go to a camp I think it was Camp Swift but not for sure, My brother was the last one and when he was about to get on the helicopter needed to get gas, so it drove off to get some and it crashed right there. He was freaked out, and he called my parents and told them he was OK.

Hard to believe it. My car was 15 yards from it, and I was about 200 yards from it when it happened. Thank god it was in a field, it could have been so much worse.
