  • Good, but don't clench your hands into fists like that. It's better to keep your hands to the side unless you are really using them to make a point.

  • JULIET: Thou knowest the mask of night is on my face; Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak to-night. Fain would I dwell on form -- fain, fain deny What I have spoke; but farewell compliment! Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say 'Ay'; And I will take thy word. Yet, if thou swear'st, Thou mayst prove false. At lovers' perjuries, They say Jove laughs. O gentle Romeo, If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully. Or if thou thinkest I am too quickly wo

  • Nice job but if you want some constructive criticism, you should review the video. You look like you're performing. Your body is disconnected from your speech, which makes it seem "presentational". Don't be afraid to move. Delivery-wise, Shakespeare reads like a song. It has to flow. The language allows you to be more animated than you normally would be. Do not be afraid to lean again the wall, hug yourself, etc

  • This was good. I'm auditioning soon but am using a different monologue, any tips? I don't know if I should add an accent or just act it out.

  • What Are Thee Words.?

  • @netschbailey My mother decided to let me know AFTER I finished memorizing the monologue that I wasn't allowed to audition :( Oh, well, there'll be a next time...

  • @lilarini Thanks! :)

Make sure you know how you want to have to monologue, how your going to portray it, then watch one of the originals ( play or movie) , if you haven't already. But dont copy it! because then its no fun!! :) But know whats going on, ya know? What I did on the side of my sheet of paper with the monologue on it, was rewrite each line in modern terms, so each time i read it, i saw that too. So i caught the emotions!!

Lemme know how it goes!! :)

  • That was really good! I'm thinking of using this monologue for my Romeo and Juliet audition, any tips?

  • @brucasluvaa37 hahahahah that is nuts!!! Great minds think alike! (: Good Luck!
