Me playing (rather imperfectly) Gervaise's Deux Branles de Champagne written for the Organ.

Here I play the pedal part with my hands, whereas a skilled organist would likely use the pedals.

I hadn't been able to find another video of this on Youtube; except for it being played as a processional piece in a video of a Sunday Missa Cantata at St. Nicolas du Chardonnet, in Paris - so I decided to post it myself.

  • not perfect indeed, but very beautiful nontheless. I think I might use this for my wedding, is that appropriate?

  • @dvremmen Thank you for your comment. The piece is very good as a processional, but being as short as it is, it would need to be repeated with different registrations by the organist, with an improvisation at the end I would have thought - easily doable for any organist who is liturgically minded.

  • I did indeed use it for my wedding, but just for the part where I entered the church, so the length was fine! Then my bride entered during a short version of Mendelssohn's march. Gee, I have really come to love this piece, however short and simple!
