@bohemiachris which was bullcrap. toyota payed off NASA to make up a fake test and make the car pass just to buy themselves some time. thats all that toyota has beed doing for the past several years now. all their cars now have many of the same problems. which is plain the computer messing up. NOT floor mats or lack of a shim under the pedal.

I'd like to point out that the issue with the Toyota Prius doesn't mean toyota is unreliable. The pedal in the Toyota Prius is american made. I know how news agencies spent many hours covering the accidents caused by the faulty pedal. One thing they didn't spend much time on is the newscast I witnessed where american cars are also being recalled for having the same pedal and the same problem.
