The history of this luxury watch brand begins in Tramelan, Switzerland. In 1902 Armand Nicolet, himself from a dynasty of watchmaking created a rose gold pocket watch featuring a complete calendar and a chronograph function. The philosophy behind the luxury watch band was the creation of complication timepieces from scratch with an astonishing attention to detail. When Mr. Nicolet died in 1939, his son Willy continued to craft luxury watches in this way until the quartz watch revolution in the 1970's when the classically made mechanical watch industry experienced a downturn.
The Armand Nicolet brand was acquired by Rolando Braga and by 1990 was once again producing fine timepieces with the original passion for detail and craftsmanship. Today this luxury watch brand still creates stunning timepieces with highly detailed artisan features in the now newly furbished but original workshops of the Nicolet family. The unique timepieces in the Armand Nicolet watch collection are some of the finest available anywhere.
