This version of "Good Queen Bess" was recorded at The Harp Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire, England on Sunday, July 29th. 2007 by the Heart of England Jazz Band with special guest Frank Pardoe on tenor sax.

The band were in fine form and the usual line-up of Selwyn Newton on clarinet, Pete Ainge on trumpet, Kevin Grenfell on trombone, Roger Heath on bass, Clive Millward on drums and Dave Smith on banjo was joined by one of our regulars, 80 years old Frank Pardoe who is a great favourite with the audience. Frank is invited to play by several bands and always gets a rousing reception....and why not at 80+?

Sessions at the Harp are held every Sunday lunchtime and Tuesday evening. Details from John Howell on 01902 756158
