The HVX200 will always be known to be a breakthru in motion picture capture history and a huge leap from DV NTSC. It was true 720p HD and eliminated tape capture and interlacing. Remember the pain of timecode breaks? Back in 2008, when I was cutting for an emerging production company, Ascension Pictures, the HVX easily became the staple format and I along with everyone else fell in love with it very quickly. The camera established a lot of careers, so therefore will have a place close to my heart. =D To date, the HVX has delivered well over a dozen projects with Ascension.
All footage was shot on the HVX200 except for the distinguishably dark and out-of-focus J-Hind video which was shot on 35mm.
I made this very early in my career. Demo reels are so useless for editors!
