MAKING YOU TAPES (IS BETTER THAN SEX)

About 18 years in the making, Making You Tapes (Is Better Than Sex) encapsulates two different eras of my life. It started when I directed, acted, and shot this untitled Super8 film around 1992. I watched it and liked it, but never showed it, so it got stowed away and pretty much forgotten about. Then sometime around 1997, the members of That Stupid Club and I wrote, preformed, and recorded the song "Making You Tapes (is Better than Sex)" on the Tie Breaker album. Then, on July 11, 2010, in the process of moving, I discovered some films in some belongings I had stored at a friends for about 12 years. Another friend, Peter Vollan, happened to have a projector with a good bulb, and when we viewed this unmarked reel, it all came back to me. So I've spent all last night and today, the 24th of July, 2010, creating this Videos that spans decades.
