Mac OS X is considered UNIX-like because it has included FreeBSD userland.

But I don't know what UNIX stuff has Microsoft stolen from Apple.

UNIX doesn't have anything to do with graphical interface.

UNIX is COMMAND LINE!

The graphical interface & apps is 3rd party software.

I'm watching this video from my FreeBSD machine .

Listen man! Windows 7 is an amazing operating system. It has the graphics and the styling of the Windows Vista, and the amazing run of the Windows Xp, except the 7 never crashes, never freezes, is blazing fast, and all those stuff. It also never gets viruses like the Mac OSX, which you were wrong in the video because the operating system is not called Mac OSX, it is called Snow Leopard. Nice video! Windows 7 wins. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

the best way to have what u need is to get a macintosh, u can install windows and linux somethink which is not easy to do it on normal pc

guys thanks for comments i had a windows computer when i made my vid , now i got a mac and i am proud of it i want to hear (basically read) your opinions they are all very interested.I think the best operating system is which fits our needs, all OS has have there benefits and there probs. But some OS have almost everything , who said that linux and mac don't play games!! the stability is the best on linux solaris, free bsd and macintosh. because they are based on unix opposed to windows.....

great! a good opinion! it's totally true every operating system is based on the rock solid UNIX. But, can UNIX on its own be used as an OS nowadays?

I hate microsoft too;) not just because their OS fails, but because their OS is always based on the previous one, containing some slight changes and all previous fails are copied along. result: Win7, a 20GB ineficient, slow and unstable (thought better than vista) OS. OSX snow leopard is the winner for me!!

I think that mac os x should definitely win. It has superior video and image editing programs, it doesn't get most viruses, and it can run almost all windows programs. Linux is good, if you only want to be able to get programs from a list of supported programs, it's not very good because you have to go through terminal to install any program you download. I am a windows user myself, and I hate it, windows is slow and unreliable, and i have gotten many viruses. I haven't used Solaris.
