before there was siam, there was the tai speaking people of the north, thery came down and built their own kingdoms being mostly lao. the siamese was a hybrid of khmer/mon and the tai speaking people commonly known as lao people. many wars was fought with siam kingdom and neighboring kingdoms. angkor empire fell and the elites of angkor went to take over siam and since siam was more powerful than all the tai speaking people, they took over what is the majority of tai speaking people.

@Khmer96pride Pls check in Thai royal derivation (record in Siamese royal court)It's about Aung Duang, King of Cambodia, who grew up in Bangkok in the age of King Rama I. They go back with Siamese cultures such as dancing and architech. The evidences are the royal palace in Phnom Pehn and Khmer traditional Song called Pleng Siem and many songs which dont have meanings in Khmer language.

@Khmer96pride After Angkor empire is collapsed, Cambodia lost most power in SEA. Modified things from Siam came back to Cambodia. The historical evidences show that there is mistress who was exiled from Siamese royal court to Cambodia. Khmer lords tell her to teach Siamese dance to ppl in Khmer royal court. It was recorded in early royal derivation. You can see that nowaday Thai traditional dances are more sophisicated than Khmer's. Let you see and compare in youtube.

Buddhism has been in Khmer land since the Buddha came visiting Khmer land @ Koktlok and had been recorded on the Buddhism society in India.

Thailand is just a piece of shit of Cambodia that Khmer left over. Khmer numerals are on all Thai national today because Thais were the slave of Khmer and only Thai slave using Khmer numeral Master.
