I created this as a test. I was recording using the Black Magic Intensity Pro, uncompressed video full 720p 60 fps. I made the 3:15 clip and as i went to check it to upload to youtube, i noticed a bit of a problem. Using uncompressed video the avi file was 20.3 gb. This averages out to be 104 megabytes/sec, basically maxing out my hard drive. And is i recorded for an hour, it would have filled up my entire 640gb hard drive.

Youtube only allows 2gb maximum file size so i converted it to mp4 with a avg bitrate of 10 mb/s to reduce any possible quality loss during the conversion. So although this video looks awesome technically the video coming out of my card is higher quality. :P

  • dude we can only view this in 33 Frames per second. you know that right? because youtube's videos are uploaded that way

  • How did you capture over HDMI? PS3 has HDCP that does not allow to capture over HDMI!

  • looks good but on my tv 720p has lines going throught the middle and on the bottom when its black screeen it turns blue but when un 1080i its awesome quality can u help?

  • @GunnyW14 probably also has something to do with the .flv codec youtube uses, this is a particularly low quality codec, I have never seen it running above 30fps. Also the human eye isn't really going to notice much of a difference between 30-60fps.

  • @GunnyW14 oh :/

  • @german199denuevo to saves bandwidth, and for large companies, bandwidth is expensive. it also saves computer power, because it only has to encode half of the video essentially cutting the encoding time, and therefore resources used on it, in half

  • @WakingDaFallen yes yes, i know it too xD, but why youtube converts it to 30 fps? :S

  • @german199denuevo its great to capture it in 60fps, because it gives you much more freedom to manipulate time when editing.
