For those wondering what beef CoS has with psychiatry, it's simple. Hubbard used Skinners technique of "Operant Conditioning" to come up with his (in)famous training method ("Tell them to pick a point on the wall.. then have them get up, go over to it and touch it. Do it again and again."). If people pay attention to psychaitry, they quickly see this and realise what a con artist Hubbard was. Remember Hubbards "Operating Thetans" ? Operant Conditioning ? Hmmmm..

how about if they use psyc drugs, the fog that Co$ has placed over their eyes will be removed, and guess what? No money for you Co$ hahaha. Being able to concentrate on ritalin and simmalar drugs =P

Who needs to use drugs when you use excessive sauners and overdoses of niacin (prif rundown). Or sleep deprivation and comand hypnosis (RPF and most TRs)- even the emeter can release endorphins via stimulating nerves with current.

You are so spot on, it hurts! Many of the techniques use to manipulate the suckers within the cult as psychological but used in a way that is highly destructive- that is why $cientology is so frightened of psychiatry/psychology- these disciplines can see right through the "tech" for what it really is- the bridge to total slavery.

I'd agree that their PR says their aim is for the greater good- it's their actions and behaviour that reveal the disgusting underbelly that is the COS. I'd be very happy if the noble aims in, say "way to happiness" were what the COS is actually doing, but, the "church" does anything that will add to it's income and power without any morals at all- the action of pure fascism.

mavis13, I'm not aware Co$ uses drugs of any kind. If they were, they would immediately come under the aegis of the feds and be ramrodded into federal court. They don't need to use drugs because people are that easily duped and conditioned. Look at "Heavens Gate" and others of their ilk.

Indeed. Very interesting how LRH uses psychological techniques when Co$ forbids psychology along with psychiatry. Doesn't Scientology also use mental altering drugs as part of their brainwashing program? Hm...sounds like...I don't know, psychiatric drugs used for brainwashing?

I'm unbiased on Scientology... prefer to think, like other religions, its aim is for the greater good... but when people threaten to expose others for something they've done in the past in retaliation for exposing something they currently practice... well... let's just say there's something not right there.
