off "The Cult Of Ray" (1996)

Maybe on the street
Maybe in the beach
Maybe I'll see you in the mall
Jesus was right
Yeah, I don't want to fight at all
I want to be alone
I want to be inside my headphones
I skate for transportation
Play guitar for elevation
Into a state of my own
I like the distortion when I bar chord
A lonely parking lot
When I ride on my board
Maybe on the beach
Maybe on the street
Maybe I'll see you in the hall

  • I read a bad review on this album somewhere. Some people are just retarded.

  • @Vord1134 It's a killer album and I fuckin' mean it! And it was the first time Charles actually seemed to give no shit about fancy production work or cool alternative-fashion sounds...

  • This album contained everything great about the 90's.

  • mr black agam distillin life's essence.

  • @Vord1134 You're probably thinking about the Rolling Stone write up this album got. Pat ... can't think of the critic's name. He said something to the effect that this was a more direct album than anything he had done but it was mediocre. I think it fucking ROCKS! At the start of Frank Black's career alot of Pixie fans were pissed off that the band broke up and had some issues with the early albums. This is some of my absolute favorite music to come out of the 90s.

  • Bad ass guitar playing.
