I have no idea when it changed, but the garage is a bar called the Shady Grove, attached to a kind of 'youth hostel', popular with people who like to walk in the area. I stayed there around September 2006. It has not rotted away!

The Garage was still there just of the E15 a few miles north of Almeria in southern spain, used as a storage shed, i guess it has rotted away now as i last saw it on monday 9th August 1993, bloody hell thats nearly 16 years ago,
