This is the first in a 3 part series on the origin of intelligence. Future videos will discuss the origin of the brain, and the origin of cognition. In them we will see that human intelligence is not of supernatural origin. It is merely the product of evolution by natural selection.

  • Ashkenazi Jews are the most intelligent people on earth. Scientists like James Watson have proven this.

  • @jeffiek If that was ment to be an insult, I feel extremely sorry for you...

  • @xxMafia101 "How stupid were these people to base their entire worl economy on a resource that would run out?"

A lot smarter than you. The alternatives were wood and whale oil.

  • Fantastic. When is it going to begin?

    Intelligence, that is.

  • @hayesism fossil fuels "efficent?" That must be one of the funniest things I have ever heard. 200 years from now, they are going to look back and say, "How stupid were these people to base their entire worl economy on a resource that would run out?" Argument denoted.

  • @hayesism that is fucking hilarious because last i heard, fossil fuels get massive subsidies. fossil fuels are by absolutely no means efficient when it comes to the drilling, refinement, transportation, and hazards associated with them vs a field of solar panels. try putting less crack in that pipe you're smoking.

  • @hayesism wrong comparison. energy efficiency and greenhouse gas control are good ideas, whether or not there will be an armageddon-like slow spiral into oblivion if there is no standards held to. christianity and spirituality have usually absolutely zero in common with each other and are entirely not quantifiable in any objective sense. What's anti-intellectual is for you to selectively skeptical about a theory, vs. every other fucking scientific theory in existence.

  • @Thrashaero ...besides, if you think that our focus should be on energy efficiency (and you're honest with yourself) then you should definitely condemn solar and wind technologies and advocate fossil fuels, which remain by far the most efficient means of producing energy and are one of the few that don't require subsidisation.

  • @Thrashaero "regardless of whether climate change is true or not has really nothing to do with the fact that energy efficiency is a good thing" Hey, why not: Regardless of whether Christianity is true or not really has nothing to do with the fact that spirituality is a good thing and blah blah blah...

We hear these arguments all the time from Christians, and they're weak because the pursuit of truth should be the focus and straying from that because you like an ideology is anti-intellectual.
