he just compared miles and chet: chet could not play in some moments more that an octave but still he was abble to create an umbelievable melody.and this is very interesting for an artist because he has to find inside him a different way of playing...

se non ti piace il genere musicale e se non sai manco chi è Miles Davis perchè guardi un video come questo?
sarà che sono Sardo e quindi un pò campanilista, ma ho visto Paolo più volte dal vivo e trasmette davvero emozioni...la musica d'altronde è questo!

Those even 8s don't represent Baker's later style. Some of the licks are pretty close but the articulation sounds almost classical here and Chet never sounded like that. At 4.30 the fast flurry of notes was a definite trademark, but chet's sound was fluffy and airy. I know Arturo did an entire album imitating iconic players.
