Marcus Chown, New Scientist Cosmology Correspondent and author of Quantum Theory Cannot Hurt You, discusses the possibilities of quantum computers. Produced by Jonathan Carter.
Are the atoms in multiple places at once? Or are they just in one place in the 4th dimension? To us it would appear the atom is in multiple places but when really its just stretched in the 4th dimension.
I think the quantum computer spends all the time it needs to calculate an answer and then sends that answer back in time to itself just after it was asked.
I want to know if it can answer a question before it was technically asked.
The paradox with a Quantum Computer is that if it were exploiting the existence of other such Quantum Computers in parallel universes, would those computers not be exploiting the Quantum Computers in this world?
In other words, you can't draw computing power from multiple parallel universes unless only 1 of those computers is using it and the rest are being used. And what's the chance that computer will be the one in our universe?

So how do we access this Quantum Computer and utilize it for our advantage and mankind's benefit?
