The announcer has, in fact, laced up his skates a time or two in his day. His name is Chico Resch and he was quite a successful hockey player in his time. Maybe you should look him up because you are obviously oblivious to the existance of a well known and respected player.Clearly you do not know enough about hockey to even post on the subject. The fact that he admitted Mottau made a mistake at all is may more than most other announers around the league would have done.

Seeing as that Mottau is a professional hockey player and has been playing for a long time, this type of thing does happen, however unfortunate it might be. The player serves his suspension and continues playing. If it was a dirty hit, he would have to have some sort of motive, which he did not.

Yeah...I was going for irony with the comment, but it doesn't really work when you are typing a comment. I like Mottau, but for me, a dirty hit is a dirty hit. I understand it wasn't with bad intentions and was reactionary, but it doesn't change the end result. However, I also agree that there is a difference between a goon trying to take a guy out, and something like this incident.

If you did NOT intend to do it, then it wasn't INTENTIONAL and it was an ACCIDENT. And I've laced skates up before so try and tell me. Fucking bitch.

I'm really over this conversation, and getting into petty fights online. If you want to have an actual discussion - fine, but if you want to just try attempt to act tough online? find better use for your time.
What I meant from like 2 months ago, was that Mottau probably wasn't trying to go head hunting, and there may not have been BAD intentions. however, it's still intentional - it's not like he slipped and hit the guy like that by accident. it's a dirty hit, and you know it is.

yea I am giving it up because you make no sense, in your one comment you don't agree its an accident and in your other comment you agree that its an accident, and yea pro's make mistakes too especially since the game is so fast and you have less than a second to think
