New ones do sound good. It is the type of cartridge that is included with Numark and ION turntables. Nevertheless, ceramic cartridges have a long history, but the magnetic cartridge is the successor and high fidelity aficionados buy them instead.

The cartridge sounds satisfactory. But is it a piezoelectric ceramic?

@SlimeTron5000 My turntable is an Ion Profile Pro usb...not a very good one but does the trick for now so i can get my records spinning again! ;-)

@ozzy58631 This is the reissue from 2008...although i was able to find an original pressing that sounds just as good or better than this!
