i'm currently have the RF82, are totally awesome, is worth every penny expend for it.
i'm also have 4 - RS52 for back and surround, and 2- RT12-D subs, front/rear.
-
I have the RB-81 and The first time I unplugged my sub to listen to them by them self I had to double check to see if I had properly turned off my sub because the crossover on them is down to 45hz. They have great bass reproduction. I also have the RC-10 center rb-10 rear and the Jamo 6510 sub. I have a video on my channel of my old set up I will have a new one by mid of next week of my new klipsch setup

i know rotary subs can play that low but out of interest if they tried to make a single cone subwoofer play down to 1hz how big would it have to be?
i think excursion has to increase x4 every time the octave/hz halves (not sure which one) but lets say the excursion limit is 4 inches (since its a huge sub) and you wanted 100db output, how big would it have to be??

"what are you doing?" The female enters man and his curiosities.

I wanna see a super basstest. How About "SP - trust nobody VIP"

I tried with a set of cheap headphones, 8 hz, but it was distortion, and 20khz, but I've given myself some hearing problems working on motorcycles and blowing stuff up.
-
You think you can lol. Your most likely hearing a distortion or other present frequency thats above 20. Or maybe you can! =O I dunno! I can only hear high frequencies unto 18.7khz =( Ive blown my ears out with so much loud music through the years..

Yes, I just checked that sub out yesterday and I want it! 7500watts if im correct! (One of their subs have that much power, I believe its the signature 25) It even suggests a 240 volt outlet LOL. Insane subwoofer, 9hz would create an inaudible EARTHQUAKE! WOW I CAN FEEL IT ALREADY! =D ! Peanut butter sandwich!
I have one advice for you: if you place the speakers at least 3-4 feet or more from the back walls the you will get more (and accurate) bass! It worked well with my RF-63's!

About that.. these were in a dorm room at the time. Not much room placement options.

You CANT hear 1hz tones. They are below audible range. Second, Klipsch is made in the US. They make bose sound like a vibrating tin can, and be careful, MOST of the ones online are imitations and not actually Klipsch.

Hows the bass on them?

good, not super deep to where it can shake the house, but accurate and in a well placed area would be sufficient for many uses. work great for most music without a sub, but in movie environment I would recommend a good subwoofer as well.

ok, I just wanted to find out more... lol... so I played some rap music and at a fairly good volume (not deafening) I actually felt the punch in my chest from like 6 feet. I guess I didn't give the bass enough credit. I run with huge supplemental sub systems for bass so I don't normally turn off the subs. They are pretty good by themselves though.
