In this video we will look at the underlying Greek text of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and see how it is translated into the New World Translation.

  • 1 cor 8:5 For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ,

  • @afterraincomessun The problem is though that the text calls Jesus "God". Now the capital G is a reference to God the Father. A lower case g is a reference to false gods. Do you understand, or should I write slower?

  • @husky394xp

this text from 1Cor8:5 means nothing to you

    it straightens everything :

then we know that sometimes Jesus could be called god like judges in Israel were called gods but they certainly are not the father who is ALMIGHTY GOD JEHOVAH

Psalm 82:6 “I myself have said, ‘YOU are gods,

And all of YOU are sons of the Most High.

thats why Thomas could call Jesus "God".

Like in isaiah 9 Jesus is called God:

6 For ,...a son given to us; . And ..he.. will be called, Mighty God,

  • @afterraincomessun OK, one more time.

Capital "G" God is ALWAYS a reference to God the Father.

Lower case "g" god is ALWAYS a reference to a pagan, false god.

When Jesus is called God, it is because He IS God the Father!

Wake up! You are in an evil cult, founded by a top-level satanic Mason named Charles T. Russel. Your Bible comes from the Vatican. They are deceiving you into an eternity in Hell! Please watch my salvation message on my Channel page.

  • @EternalDucks Yes, and the video was only posted ONE DAY ago!

Take some deep breaths, and try to calm down.

  • I myself swear by the KJV. I believe the KJV was translated with a move by the Holy Spirit and the newer ones are not. I believe my Father got it right the first time. I do not believe I have to go to the Hebrew or Greek. I believe my Father got his word to me, trusting his Word that the Gospel will be preached in all nations. ALL the newer versions are tainted. There's a reason he says they shall seek the WORD of the Lord and shall not find it. Get away from the newer translations.

  • @ChristianTruthHammer I had a converted JW tell me that this Watchtower Interlinear is no longer available. Gee, I wonder why?

  • @Uenbg start with NIV translation on biblegateway, then do Darby, notice how the footnotes are missing from the Darby translation when you're looking at Luke (would that have anything to do with the fact that the Darby translation uses Jehovah in Deuteronium? I wonder, I guess the NIV just uses more footnotes, coincidence? You decide, I dunno how that site exactly works, I do know how Satan works though :P hide in plain sight ).

Notice also how the Darby translation admits adding "the".

  • @Uenbg edit: divine name was replaced in the Greek with Lord?

that should be LORD (with capitals). Look at biblegateway and see the sneaky bastards at work, they show you which verse from the old testament is being quoted, when you go to Deut. there you see LORD in capitals as opposed to Lord (indicating that in the Hebrew it says "Jehovah" and not "the Lord"). Then when you go to Luke, suddenly they write/translate it to Lord as if to pretend it's not Jehovah but the Lord (title) Jesus.

    sneaky

  • Why don't you mention that Jesus is quoting from the old testament in Luke 4:12 by saying "it is said"? And that the verse he is quoting from the old testament has the HEBREW YHWH (English: Jehovah) in it? For that matter, why don't you mention the verse he's quoting from? No one ever pointed it out to you?

Why do you pretend not to know the well known historical FACT that the divine name was replaced in the Greek with Lord?

Is that kind of dishonesty fitting behaviour for a Christian?

  • Outstanding video, brother. Keep it up!

  • Great video. thumbs up!

  • I found the "Emphatic Diaglott" printed by Watchtower - amazingly lines up very well with the Kingdom Interlinear as you have shown. That of course is because C. T. Russell bought up the rights to the Diaglott, which was admittedly produced straight from the Vaticanus as admitted right in the front. I think the Kindom Interlinear just uses the greek from the Vatican and the NWT on the right hand column. The diaglott actually contained a new translation which resembled the KJV in some areas.

  • The Reformation started of well in breaking away from the Catholic Church. Then they go and drag most of their false teachings, such as the trinity, with them. The corrupted texts in the KJV help to promote this particular falsehood. Such as 1John5:7 and the use of "God" instead of "He" at 1Tim 3:16.

You are being hypocritical with this video. It might not have been so bad if you did not misrepresent the NWT.

  • I find it difficult to comprehend someone who advocates the KJV, attacks another translation and then calls it corrupt.

Your whole argument falls down with your first verse at Luke 4:9-16. If you had read the forward it said, when to translate Kurios as Jehovah is when you are directly quoting from the OT where it uses the divine name. Luke 4:12 is a direct quote from Deut 6:16

    Where is Jehovah being tested?

Verse 10 "HE (Jehovah) will give HIS (Jehovah) a charge concerning you (Jesus)"

  • Another important change they made in their NWT...the Bible is clear that we can know God...we can know Jesus...

Anytime there is a reference to "Knowing Jesus" they changed it to 'gain knowledge' or 'taking in knowledge'...they have no clue what it is to be "in Christ and Him in you".

You can gain knowledge about ANY historic person....that DOES NOT mean you KNOW them

  • @husky394xp Jesus is the Father?
