SoJB is exactly what today's R&B has been missing for years. R&B fell away to having only heavy vocals and heavy thumping bass lines, which is mostly the fault of the 80s.
This music has way more versatility, emotion and substance than virtually any other R&B artist/group today.

good girl blues is the most amazing shit i've had the pleasure to absorb in the last 5 years, no fooling. i couldn't take it out of the car CD player for about two months straight, just so much power and energy and vibe from so many different blues sources. my thanks, my admiration, and this cut is just fucking amazing!
