  • How about if you break down the machanics of lets say a roundhouse kick by doing it slowly.

    I found this helped me with my balance and really inproved my technique aslo. People come on youtube and do 30 kicks a minute but can they do 10 slow and hold their balance.

  • when i was working on my balance my instructor said go up to a brick wall and lift your leg towards a brick starting low every five seconds lift up to next brick when you loose ya balance start again or change legs really help the better ya get the higher you go also could do with a ladder but using something like bricks takes longer to get higher so you keep the muscle working for longer

  • @BlackBeltSite would it help or hinder if i were to hold weights while i do these practice exercises?

  • @BlackBeltSite no worries we are all out for same reason just acheived my 2nd dan a week ago so this week im on a bit of a high anything i can share that might help im more than happy.

  • This is very helpful. I also like to move rolled up socks from in front of me to the side of me gripping with my bare feet. You can play with this: put socks on chair, take them off, etc. Pick up a pen with bare feet (clean feet, please), etc.
