Prof. Roentgen Meets the Virtual Body - VOXEL-MAN and X-ray history

With animations generated with the VOXEL-MAN visualization system ( http://voxel-man.de ), the video shows the development of the X-ray technique.It was created at the Institute of Medical Informatics, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf at the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the X-rays by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in 1995. It was first shown at the Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in 1994. It received the Video Award 1995 of the German Radiological Society (Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft). Although originally created fully in digital format, this copy was drawn from a Betacam recording.
