I made a short lecture on identifying objects in the night sky with the help of a desktop planetarium (sky simulation) program called Stellarium (http://www.stellarium.org), focusing on the planet Venus after sunset. Towards the end, I also talk a bit about the Constellation Orion, Sirius and the Orion Nebula.

  • Next time you wold be more proffesional using a script, and get rid of those dogs.

    apart from that good vid.

  • Thank you for the comment, but I'm certainly NOT a professional and I have no plans on being one :) I'm enjoying the not-so-uptight world of being amateur at the moment :)

  • I heard barking aliens.

Pretty cool but I'd like to know if he is using a screen projector or a mega monitor.

  • I used a green screen and did chroma keying. The dogs are backyard dogs, just right outside the window.
