A quick look through Jonas Liveröds book The Violence. The Violence is a 200 page collection of drawings, photos and found footage constructed around a photo from the Altamont incident in 1969.
The Violence follows the series of four exhibitions with the common title Permanent daylight through 2008-09. First out was Pool gallery in Berlin, next Ystad museum of Art in October. In December Permanent daylight #3 opened at Nordin gallery in Stockholm, #4 at Växjö Kunsthalle in february 2009 and and finally part five at Kristinehamns Museum of Art in april 2009. A separate part of Permanent daylight
is shown at Aarhus Center for Conbtemporary Art in Denmark in march 2009. The Violence is published by Norwegian publisher noCUBE and has been designed in collaboration with Danish design agency re-public. Producer/ DJ Tiaz has made a soundtrack for the book which accompanies it. It is nominated for the award of Best printed matter in Denmark 2008.
