NEW VIDEO: WATCH THIS INSTEAD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM0gY3EIxIE
PLEASE stop asking questions if the video or guide I provided answers them. If you have a question, watch and read each thing again to see if it helps your situation. If it doesn't, I will gladly help, but please try to let the video/guide answer your question first, that is why they are there! Also remember that this isn't really a guide, more of a demonstration of what the real guide says:
Here is the NEW Breeding Guide that covers Generation V (fifth generation) games Black and White too that I wrote for Nintendo Buzz:

The egg group pics are hopefully they are bigger and better, each zooms in so make sure you do that, then it is easily readable, again, highlight and copy from http but up to png:

Anyway, the deal with Energy Ball is that though it IS a TM, Vulpix cannot be taught the TM53 of Energy Ball. BUT, it is an egg move, just not the best example since it could confuse people with the TM moves. Hypnosis is a better example of one of Vulpix's egg moves, since it will never learn Hypnosis through levelling up, only by breeding.

Anyway, this is just a short video to help explain how to breed decent Pokémon. Most of this is explained in that URL at the top there, but this helps visually explain the different types of Egg moves, passing on natures, how to hatch eggs and so on. If you want to find out what can breed with what, that URL does have an attachment to a table, but you need to be a member to view it. However, there are these group tables all over the internet, so just look around and you'll find it. Also with egg moves, they're available on the internet too.

A few extra tips, using your Bike on the fast mode helps speed up egg hatching since you'll do more steps more quickly. Smeargles make great fathers since they can learn any move (or most of them anyway). And finally, these tricks work from Emerald onwards. The Everstone or 'fiery' things don't work on games before it such as FireRed, Ruby and so on. Oh, and if you're trying to Everstone trick with a Ditto and some neutral gendered Pokémon OR a female e.g. Poryon, Magneton etc for neutrals and any female that can breed, have the Everstone on Ditto, since the other Pokémon passes on moves, which is a Male trait. And Ditto takes priority on the Everstone thing, so Females aren't the ones that hold it.

I hope this helps you all become ace breeders!

  • If I breed a female buneary and a male walrein(with sheer cold), is it possible that their offspring can learn sheer cold?

  • @DarkSpade0018 No. The baby has to have the desired move as an egg move, TM it can learn or a move it learn by levelling up. Sheer Cold is none of those for Buneary (otherwise Buneary would be able to learn just about anything, eep). Buneary can get Fire/Ice/Thunderpunch though.

  • hi, I have a question about the egg moves... is it possible to breed two different egg moves from two different PokeMon? trying to get a Scraggy with Dragon Dance and Drain Punch. Tried with a Scraggy M w. Dragon Dance breeding with Scraggy F w. Drain Punch. No effect. then I tried Mienfoo M w. Drain Punch breed with Scraggy F w. Dragon Dance. Then it just hatches with only Drain Punch! What goes wrong?

  • @gotenstyle2 No, the Fathers have to know all the moves you want the baby to know, not just one. Meinfoo does know Drain Punch but not Dragon Dance, you need a Smeagle to learn Dragon Dance + Drain Punch, then breed it with your Female Scraggy (I recommend adding Ice Punch too, it's a good move). Get a Male Smeargle and go into a double battle with Meinfoo, have it use Drain Punch on an enemy and Smeargle use Sketch on Meinfoo and it will learn the move, then do the same with Dragon Dance.

  • @Gustavo72993 Will-O-Wisp is a TM so just use that. Otherwise, several Ghosts such as Duskull can pass on Shadow Sneak and others can pass on Destiny Bond but it's a bit harder to get both. Search Bulbapedia or Serebii for Ralts, you'll have to breed one of the moves onto a baby that will then level up, learn the other move and then you can breed it with Ralts.

  • @NintenBeau And How I can obtain a Ralts with Will O Wisp, Destiny Bond and Shadow Sneak

  • @Ausjor97 Get a Male Rampardos (Lv30) or Marowak (Lv49) to learn Endeavour (Swampert works too but it learns it at a really high level) to breed with a Female Aron and the baby will know Endeavour.

  • How do I breed an Aron to know endeavor?

  • @DeathMetalMorty Offspring always become the Female parent, so you'll get a Bagon (if your Gyarados knows Hydro Pump then your Bagon will know Hydro Pump).

  • i breeded a shelgon (female) and a gyrados,(male) will the offspring come out as a female or a male?
