First we're off to Toronto, Ontario in Canada, where we meeet up with two former Chicagoans - Rabbi Norman Berlat and Rabbi Mitchell Cohen. Then we head back to Old Orchard Mall's outdoor pavilion in Skokie, Illinois for a most unique art fair with Sandy Weinstein, Enid Silverman and Mark Sijan. Following that, we attend the funeral of the most famous Jewish quarterback ever in the NFL, former Chicago Bear, Sid Luckmann, of blessed memory. There, we visit with Chet Coppock, Ed McCaskey, Virginia McCaskey (owner of The Chicago Bears), Irv Kupcinet, & Essie Kupsinet. See all this on this classic 1998 episode of
"TAPED WITH ... RABBI DOUG" .
See tvrabbi.com for more information.
If I'm not mistaken, Luckman was living in Florida when he died but he's burried in Skokie at that Cemetery east of the Old Orchard Shopping Center.
Anyone know if he lived there or in one of the surrounding towns?
