The Last Airbender OFFICIAL CAST update (Zuko & Suki have been cast)

The official cast for M Night Shyamalan's upcoming film The Last Airbender is coming together. This is an update as of February 3 2009.

Cast-

-Noah Ringer as Aang

-Jackson Rathbone as Sokka

-Nicola Peltz as Katara

-Dev Patel as Zuko

-Jessica Jade Andres as Suki

Later Added Cast-

-Shaun Toub as Iroh

-Aasif Mandvi as Zhao

-Cliff Curtis as Ozai

-Seychelle Gabriel as Princess Yue (rumored)

-Katharine Houghton as Kanna

-Ben Cooke as Roku

-Keong Sim as Earthbending Father (whatever that means. It's most likely Haru's dad though).

No more worrying about the possibility of Jesse McCartney playing Zuko.

The song is Luv Addict by Family Force 5.

Suki wasn't in it.... Haru was just randomly put in there as like a radom little kid...Yes ppl Haru is a radom little kid in this movie... Jet isn't in it.... (thinks) They didn't follow the story of the Cartoon/Anime it just....sucked that bad... Oh and the worst part is... They said Aang's, Sokka's, Iroh's, and hell even Avatar name WRONG e_e yup this movie WILL make you want to break things or just fall out and cry...

@werewolf478 Yes I saw it. But all of that stuff you just said (about the missing characters and the changed pronunciations) were already explained a long time ago. The only unexpected part was the absence of Suki (who they actually had filmed scenes of).

You have no complaints? The cast sucked, so did the movie. Katara & Sokka should've been played by NATIVE AMERICANS & Zuko would be like an Asian/white mix. The Fire Nation are NOT Indian. I agree this had great potential for a movie but then M. Night got his hands on it and true fans wept. & it's one thing for the cast not to look like the originals but their personalities weren't even the same They were completely different people compared to the TV series Ember Island Players did a better job

@DoctorWhoCenter2010 AND the actress who wil be playing her is tottaly diffrent too!!! I'm a fan of Kyoshi Warriors and I'm really dissapointed... I sincerelly hope that fights will be based on chinese arts like Tai Chi (I'm training that one so I will see, If they'll put it in) and others. So Paramaunt, please get rid of M. Night Shyamalan and show the magic of the Avatar story. Please, for our and your sake, don't ruin it AGAIN.

I would have put up with it all if the dialogue hadn't been so cringe-inducing. Honestly, every line was so awkward and unfunny that would have a much better film, but this one was already terrible.

Thank god Jesse McCartney isnt in this movie i dont think i would have been able to watch it at all. But i do think they should have made the Water Tribe people darker and the Fire nation people lighter like switch them around

@illusenara People dont get that its not the race that has to be identical -_- its the presentation of the character. What dark skinned natives do you know that can act? hmmm? vs Blacks? see, exactly. Fire nation should NOT have been indian that was just dumb.

@Tinker13ee I agree about outcasting. Im tired of Megan fox playing every good looking character in a comic or story, she isn't that good of an actor nor is she the hottest woman alive. However it doesn't actually matter what race potrays the water tribe so long as they are dark skinned and good actors. Black people fitting that requirement is more reachable and what if thet found first nations children of dark skin, lets pretend. and they have no acting skill. then what? exactly.

@hotwhire then you don't cast in just Hollywood, you outsource. That's why movies start to suck so bad, because it's the same people all the time. And the Noah Ringer who they got to play Aang in the movie was from Texas and was still living there when he auditioned. You don't just use people from Hollywood in movies. And there are Native American and Inuit actors, the casting directors just didn't bother to look.
