"Coffee Stop."

[[The next afternoon]]

Naomi was sleeping in the chair with a billion covers ontop of her. Charlotte was staring straight ahead without blinking waiting for the moment to come.
Charlotte turned to see Naomi snoring. "You're suppose to be keeping me awake." She through a pen at Naomi. Naomi jumped, but did not awake she just adjusted herself in the seat.
The doctor came in causing Charlotte to turn back around and for Naomi to fall out of her chair.
The doctor cleared his throat to force himself to not laugh at Naomi. "Ahem. Well, we got in your results and you're good as new. I mean you still need to work on your memory, but we signed you up for therapy. Here's the card." Hands Naomi a card with the therapy information typed on it.

"When am I allowed to leave?" Charlotte finally spoke up.
"Now if you would like. Just have Miss Naomi here sign you out and you're sure to go."
"Thank you doctor." Naomi said.

Eventually, when the girls were ready they finally reached the lobby and they walked up to the front desk.
"Yes, dears?" The intern asked.
"I need to sign my friend out." Naomi said sweetly.
"Oh of course! Name?"
"Char..."

And her voice drifted off as Charlotte walked to the doors. The doors were the kind that revolved in circles. She just stared into the glass and a memory shot through her thoughts.

She saw herself on a merry-go-round. She was riding a horse and next to her was a man. She didn't know who the man was, but she suspected he was trustworthy.

"Ready to go?" Naomie interruppted Charlotte's thoughts. Charlotte turned her head to face Naomi.
"Definitely." She half smiled.
The girls walked to Naomi's bright, yellow convertible. After they got settled in the front seats. Naomi turned the radio on high and suggested coffee.
"Mmmm, now I KNOW I love coffee." Charlotte giggled.
"At least you remember something important." Naomi laughed and drove off.

When they reach Starbucks Charlotte runs inside and gushes. Naomi comes in.
"Wow, excited huh?" Naomie nudged her.
Charlotte breathed in. "I love that smell."
"Yeah. You always did. Since we were little." Naomi held her hand next to her belly button to show how little they were.
"Really? Weird."
"Yeah, you always said that it would bring you back home. Make you feel free and relaxed."
"Mmm." Charlotte smiled. "What else was so special about me?"
"Well, you have this journal. You would write in it everyday no matter what." Naomi answered.
"Really?"
"Yep."
"What can I get you?" The cash register said.
"Oh we'll have grande java chip, a strawberry frost with caramel drizzled on it with two shots of espresso. Thank you." Naomi handed the cashier the money before he said the price.
Charlotte realized that they must come here so often that Naomi knows how much it is and what to order by heart.
"That was....odd." Charlotte raised her eyebrows.
"I'm a professional." Naomie smiled and Charlotte giggled.

The girls went and sat at a table and slurped their coffee.

"Where is my journal?" Charlotte asked.
"Well, you have this messenger bag that you carry around everywhere and you had it in there." Naomi said.
"Wow. Am I very sentimental?"
"No, just you thought of life as a prescious gift. You didn't want regret anything, waste anything, or....forget anything. You were yourself like that. And that's why I loved you. You didn't care." Naomi said sweetly.
"Maybe I should look for the journal and try to get my memory bac--"
"No!...You should buy a new one. To have a new beginning, a fresh start."
Naomi definately did not want Charlotte to have all of her memory back because then she would be mad at Naomi for not telling her and she would be heartbroken because she can't remember her best friend and true love.

No, no, no. Naomi was not going to let that happen.
