Mustang Sally -- Wilson Pickett
C7-F7-G7
MUSTANG SALLY, GUESS YOU BETTER SLOW YOUR MUSTANG DOWN.
MUSTANG SALLY BABY, I GUESS YOU BETTER SLOW YOUR MUSTANG DOWN.
YOU'VE BEEN A RUNNIN' ALL OVER TOWN,
I GUESS I'LL BETTER PUT YOUR BIG FEET ON THE GROUND,
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ONE OF THESE EARLY MORNINGS,
YOU GONNA BE WIPIN' YOUR WEEPIN' EYES, YES YOU WILL.
I BOUGHT YOU A BRAND NEW MUSTANG, IT WAS NINETEEN SIXTY-FIVE.
NOW YOU GOIN' ROUND SIGNIFYIN' WOMAN, NO YOU WON'T YOU WON'T LET ME RIDE.
MUSTANG SALLY BABY YEAH ((SALLY ME BABY)
I GUESS YOU BETTER SLOW YOUR MUSTANG DOWN,
GONNA RUNNIN' ALL OVER TOWN,
I'M GONNA PUT YOUR BIG FAT FEET ON THE GROUND, OH YES SALLY,
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ALL YOU WANNA DO IS RIDE AROUND SALLY (RI-DE SALLY RIDE)
ONE OF THESE EARLY MORNINGS,
YOU GONNA PUT YOUR BIG FAT FEET ON THE GROUND, OH YES I WILL SALLY.

nice lesson. I think best mustang sally lesson on youtube.
Question: isn't C7 bar chord easier on this one. To go to G is faster i think. Open C7 is VERY hard for me.
sosti 1 year ago
@sosti - Hey thanks for the feedback! Sure if the barred chord is easier for you then go for it. Been playing it so long this way that I never thought about it! Thanks again and good playing.

@LateFrankLate - great lesson man !
how many bars do you play for eacg chord ? is this a 12 bar blues ? .. it sounds like it .. but there is something different isnt it ?

@hootchieman5 - hi again. 12 chords blues. other than the G-F#-F progression it's very straightforward. Keep in mind that my goal is to have people sing AND play so the strumming rythmic and simple as to not confuse the mind when adding vocals. Good playing! Frank
