Gospel Values Project Care of Gods Creation (Stewardship)

O Lord, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world!
Psalm 8
Background
From the video Planet Earth you began to see the wide variety of organisms that live on our planet. That BIODIVERSITY is essential for the survival of life on earth. We must appreciate and value the complexity of life and connect to it by learning about it and caring about it. You have already learned some information about the interactions of living things with their environment. The purpose of this project is to help you connect in a personal way with the beauty of creation, or some of the damage that humans have caused to organisms or their environment. You will create a project that shows either the wonder of Gods creation OR some of the problems that people have caused to the natural world. Through your expressions we can help others to become better caretakers of our planet. It is our responsibility to be good stewards of the earth for our sake, for our childrens sake, and for the earths sake.

The Main Project
You have 2 choices:
1.Create an original poem, short story, song, rap, drawing, painting, collection of photographs, video, or other artwork that shows either the good and beauty of nature OR some damage that humans have done to an environment. You must include both living things and something about their environment (both biotic and abiotic factors).
2.Use someone elses pictures or words as a basis and then add your interpretation or explain why that work has meaning for you. The work that you choose must include both living things and something about their environment (both biotic and abiotic factors).

Other Components You must also include an index card that has: For choice 1, a name and brief description of what your project is about OR For choice 2, a name and brief description of what your project is about, a list of whose work you are using and where you found the work, in other words a list of references.

Grading Criteria
For original work: Project-75 points based on originality, creativity, amount of detail, execution of idea, effort put into project Index card - 25 points based on appropriateness of title, completeness of description

For commentary on someone elses work Project- 60 points based on creativity and appropriateness in choice of work, students response to the work (why did this work mean something to you), effort put into project Index card- 40 points based on appropriateness of title, completeness of description, completeness of references
