I have a few questions hopefully you can answer. Can you get shiny pokemon in pokemon yellow? if so how can you tell if it is shiny? Finally, can you get a ho-oh in this game (yellow) too? thanks!

@sparkle3cm there's no shinies in RBY because they were coded in GSC, but since that relies on DVs, you could have a poke with the correct DVs to be shiny, but the only way to tell is trading with a GSC game. ho-oh isn't in the RBY games.

@kh512 news flash: physical/special split happened in the 4th Gen (DPt) and this was a Gen 2 game where all flying type moves were physical.
