Thanks for the video. But i have a question: When i put my videos in the time line, they look terrible in the canvas. Yet they are 720, when i look at the raw video in quick time, they look great. So my canvas is showing me the video, but in a super low quality. What do i do?

Hi, thanks
how do you change the canvas color?
-
Um.

thanks man appreciate it

Thanks for the tutorial! Do you know how I can take 4:3 footage and switch to 16:9 without stretching the video? I tried by cutting top, bottom, left and right but when I export as a movie, it shows the 4:3 format. Thanks!

Thank you soooo much!

Ok for anyone calling it "A Black Bar" let's clear something up. It's not called a black bar, it's referred to as "letterbox" not bars...
Thank you so freaking much! THis saves me needing to convert all my footage. I owe you a cookie.

Dude, thank you so much. I was about to go crazy tying to fix the black bar problem. Do you have another way to contact you with other questions about Final Cut Express?

@josephwdenton. I sure do! It's medievalhollywood@gmail(dot)com. Or, you can just send me a message on YouTube. Either will work.

@digitalBuswad. I'd look to make sure "all formats" is selected under the Format and Rate pull downs. This should open up more options.
