A massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, collapsing buildings, killing at least 16 people and downing phone lines. President Michele Bachelet declared a "state of catastrophe." (Feb. 27)

If you really want to get technical, Natural disasters are never a punishment to innocent people. why in the hell would god want to punish those who do good? Thats the dumbest argument ive heard in my life!!

I think if there is something we could learn from this is not to take our life for granted and live each day the best we can.. Religious or not.

Yes, muslims are often ignorant about the suffering of non muslims (ever heard about a "maby rich" muslim country donating to a non muslim country that was in great need of help????) but his/her last phrase is most important. I agree on that and would only add one thing: ...while respecting others. Religious or not! In this case a religion has nothing to do with what happened.

can´t belive we survived something that strong... we have had the two strongest earthquakes in historys and still we manage to survive, thank god not so many people diead, and R.I.P for the Ones that lost their lives,But chile is well prepared for earthquakes thank god, the people that diead is becouse the earthquake striked like 3 AM.. when are people going to understand that together we can manage anything, but even so we keep hating each other and killing each other...

People should notice not every person who believes in Allah is such an idiot. I've known a couple of women who believe in that god and are pretty normal, they don't even cover their hair/face/arms, study, lead normal lives and happen to believe in a god and use the quran for positive learning just like some people use the bible for the same and consider themselves non fundamentalist catholics.

Unfortunately FANATICS are invading youtube and are the only ones who deserve hell. (A.k.a: FLAG them)
