This video is a demonstration of a new combo chip from Broadcom which combines Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio receive and transmit functionality on a single-chip solution. This device is the third in Broadcoms series of combo announcements, complementing our BCM2049 and BCM4329 chips launched earlier this year. The BCM2075 combines these popular handset technologies in an innovative way that allows the chip to perform key multimedia and other processing that would otherwise be performed by the power-hungry cellular baseband, allowing significant power savings. The GPS portion of the chip is the most power efficient in the industry, providing a significant savings in battery life compared to competing solutions. Broadcoms combo chip approach combines multiple radio technologies on single-die implementations that save space and power, reduce integration cost and effort of our OEM partners, and allows simultaneous operation of multiple radios with minimal interference among them for an optimized user experience.
