Rossford questions casino exec

Many Rossford residents had questions for the developers of a potential Toledo casino Monday night.




Even though it is not technically in Rossford, that city does play a significant role, because the casino would sit directly on the Rossford/Toledo border.




Rossford city council members passed a resolution Monday night supporting a casino, but not after getting some assurances from casino developers that there would be discussions with Rossford fire and police about possible contracts.




Representatives Penn National Gaming, the company that would develop a Toledo casino, said that they have worked with cities like Harrisburg, Penn., to help that community get a new ladder truck for its fire department.
