so why is LPG so popular in europe ..last year in Italy 80% of all new renaults registered where Bifuel LPG....vauxhall withdrew the lpg option due to lack of UK interest ..in germany/france opel still offer lpg to most of the range !!..but your entitled to your view ...stick with your diesel ..and pay more in the long run !!
Should have bought a diesel. The cost of the conversion and the LPG is far more than the equivalent diesel model and diesel gives a lower road tax and twice the economy of the 1.4. With gas you cover half the distance for half the cost of petrol, so it's the SAME price against mileage if you get a calculator out. That is why no one does it now, Vauxhall used to sell an LPG Astra and it was withdrawn - no one wanted it and hardly anyone uses LPG. In an underpowered Astra it's a waste of time.
